Annie Lee Golden-Henry

Annie Lee Golden Henry passed away on August 29, 2025, at Macon Atrium Hospital. She is the daughter of the late John and Luchers Ezell. A native and lifelong resident of Fort Valley, Georgia, Annie’s life was deeply rooted in her community.

Annie was a 1958 graduate of Hunt High School in Fort Valley, Georgia. She served as a nurse for many years at Dr. James Jones office.

She was a member of Ushers Temple CME Church in Fort Valley, Georgia and served in the Women's Missionary Society. She cooked for her family and was outspoken and quiet at the same time; she didn’t waste words. When she had something to say, she said it and that was that. She was tough yet loving. She always had much love for her family and friends.

Annie was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Golden, later she became the wife of Floyd Henry who also preceded her in death along with daughters: Jacqueline Golden and Donna Golden.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Golden, son, Michael Golden; step-children: Valerie Henry and Daryl Henry; brothers: Leonard Ezell, Phillip Ezell, Rickey Ezell, and Jeffery Ezell grandchildren: Kelly Golden, Clarence Poole III, Isiah Wilkerson, and Lisa Boyer; great-grandchildren: Nigel Snead, Noah Snead, Jakira Golden, Avery Poole, Aubree Poole, and Kaiyana Poole; great-great-grandchildren: Knasir Snead and Kahlani Snead; lifelong friend and sister, Maude Black; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
