Anthony “Ant bone” Story dedicated himself wholeheartedly to caring for his mother and family, showing empathy and compassion for others. Outside of his professional life, he found joy in the simple pleasures of singing and being a DJ. Despite him being quiet and to himself, he always made time for his loved ones, valuing the bond he shared with his family and friends above all else. They were his pillars of support, his source of laughter and comfort, and he treasured every moment spent with them, knowing that they held an irreplaceable place in his heart. Anthony Story, 50, of Long Branch, New Jersey, died peacefully in Macon, Georgia on April 12th, 2024.
He was born in Long Branch New Jersey in 1973 to Georgia Story & Julius Williams. From the age of three Anthony was raised by his loving father John Henry Jackson. Anthony attended Peach County High school.
Anthony cared more for others than he did himself. Though he loved singing, music, electronics and comedy, Anthony’s favorite role was that of a father and grandfather. He treasured his granddaughter Serenity Byse and was excited to meet his son to be born grandson Kaizen Byse.
Anthony and his friends were practically inseparable throughout their lives. From riding around and celebrating their birthday, to going to the club, they were together through it all.
Everyone who knew Ant knew how much he loved to sing, DJ, and keep everyone laughing. It was never a time that his family and friends did not feel his love. The most valuable moments was when he had you alone and he had the opportunity to uplift you whether that was in prayer or laughter. He truly had so much love to give.
Anthony “Ant bone” Story will always be remembered for his fun loving attitude and the way he dressed. As his mom would say “He is a class A act” We’ll always imagine hearing him say “alright man or hey man” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better son, father, brother, uncle or friend and we will miss Ant every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Anthony was preceded in death by his loving grandmother and grandfather Samuel and Gwendolyn Story and his father John Henry Jackson.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Georgia Story; his loving sons and daughters: Anthony Story Jr., Xavier Story, Ja’Darian Lyons, Laniajha Story, Brittany Story and Ahkevia Jolly; his siblings: Alicia Story, John “John John” Jackson (Apollonia) and Justin Jackson (Jasmine) and Telly Neal; favorite aunt, Michele Story; grandchildren Serentity and soon to be grandson, Kaizen Byse; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
