Carolyn White was a native of Fort Valley, GA and was born on July 27, 1956, to the late Hosey and Dorothy White. Carolyn passed away peacefully at her home in Bonaire, GA on Friday March 1, 2024.
She graduated from Peach County High School and received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Fort Valley State University. She spent most of her career at the Brown and Williamson Corporation in Macon, GA before retiring in 2006. She spent the next two years working at Sons and Daughters Assisted Living Center in Fort Valley, GA and nine years at New Beginnings Day Care Center in Warner Robins, GA.
She was a long-time member of Zellner’s Chapel First Born Church and lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and unwavering compassion.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hosey and Dorothy White and sister Helen Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: daughter: Chalonda McKenzie, Bonaire, GA; son: Arthur (Joyel) McKenzie Jr., Warner Robins, GA; three sisters: Betty Jean (James) Britto, Rochester, NY; Sandra (Elvin) Fluellen, Fort Valley, GA; Avis Colbert, Culloden, GA; four brothers: Leroy
(Leslie) Tillman, Macon, GA; Hosey White Jr., Kenneth (Pearl) White, Fort Valley, GA; and Alfred (Jametta) White, Marshallville, GA; 10 grandchildren: Shymeshea Stubbs, Shaquaila Starkes, Shakiyyah Solomon, DaQuan McKenzie, Shaniya McKenzie, Jayden Henderson, Arianna McKenzie, Camari Pitts, Jamiyah Pitts, and Omere Brown; Goddaughter: Layla Whittington.
She also leaves a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
