Catherine Allen Solomon, who was born on April 24, 1951, to Mrs. Lille Mae Allen and the late Mr. Richard Allen. Catherine was lovingly raised by her grandmother, the late Ms. Lille H. King, in the close-knit Zenith Community, where she developed the strong values, warmth, and kindness that would define her life.
Catherine received her education in the public schools of Crawford County. At an early age, she met her childhood sweetheart, the late Mr. Bobby Solomon. Their love blossomed into a beautiful union, and they were married for 27 years. From this union, four children were born, forming the foundation of a family she cherished deeply.
Catherine had a spirit that radiated love and joy. She was an avid flower gardener who found peace and beauty in nurturing her plants. She enjoyed attending church and spending meaningful time with her family and friends. Known for her welcoming nature, Catherine never met a stranger—her warm smile, kind heart, and generous spirit made everyone feel at home. Truly, she had a heart of gold.
“She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Solomon; her son, Master Derrick D. Solomon; her father, Richard Allen; her grandmother, Lille H. King; and her sisters, Carolyn Allen Solomon and Christina Allen Solomon.
Catherine leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving mother, Lille Mae Allen of Atlanta, GA; her devoted children, Rickey (Monica) Solomon of Atlanta, GA, Xavia Solomon of Byron, GA, and Marquincy Solomon of Rome, GA. She is also survived by her siblings, Steve (Evelyn) Allen of Atlanta, GA, Patricia Jordan of Atlanta, GA, and Barbara Ann Green of Fort Valley, GA.
She leaves behind her cherished in-laws, Deloris Blassingame and Bobbie Jean Shannon of Fort Valley, GA, and Bobby Day of Roberta, GA. Her legacy continues through her loving grandchildren: Jarvis, Antonio, Antwon, Dorrian, Rakyia, Octavian, KeErica, Shakerria, D’Asia, Jaivion, and Levi; and her adored great-grandchildren: Aniya, Nadia, Sameerah, Amir, Blake, Blaire, Brielle, Amari, Rian, Peyton, Xariyah, Josiah, Sekani, Jordynn, and Xamir.
She also leaves behind her devoted sister/cousin, Helen Gabelli; special cousins Steve Robinson, Carlinda Nelson, Zena Troutman, Brenda Robinson, and Willie Fred King; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Catherine Allen Solomon’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith. Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy of kindness and her enduring love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
