Cleomia Solomon

Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathies the passing of Ms. Cleomia Solomon on May 31, 2025. Our sincere condolences to the family and friends.

Cleomia T. Solomon of Fort Valley, Georgia departed this earthly life while surrounded by her loving family on May 31, 2025.

Cleomia was born on November 24, 1939 in Roberta, Georgia to parents, Walter Tripp, Sr and Edna M. Tripp. She attended the public schools in Crawford County, Georgia where she demonstrated her commitment to personal growth and learning by doing her best to become a successful student. Her hard work paid off! She graduated from Crawford County High School in 1957. After completing high school, she gained employment at Robins Air Force Base as a Civil Service Employee.

Cleomia was a member of Harris Chapel CME Church in Crawford County, Georgia. After becoming a member she was devoted to serving wherever she was needed. However, she chose to serve as a member of the Usher Board and as Church Treasurer. Cleomia “Served the Lord with gladness!”

During her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed watching movies and her favorite TV shows.

Cleomia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Solomon; father, Walter Tripp, Sr., brother, Walter Tripp; sisters: Ada Mae Allen, Mattie Mangham, Martha Mitchell and Doris Tripp.

Cleomia is survived by her three sons: Steve Solomon, Tony Solomon and Brent Solomon; her precious grandchildren: China Solomon and Ian Solomon. Other family members include a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
