Elizabeth Fields Allen

Elizabeth was born on December 24, 1929, in Macon County, Georgia, to the late Willie Fields and Eddie Lou Fields. She was a lifelong resident of Marshallville, Georgia, and received her education in the Macon County School System.

After leaving high school, Elizabeth embraced the roles of wife and mother, lovingly devoting herself to her family. In her early years, she was united in marriage to Jeff Grant, and later to Jim Allen, both of whom preceded her in death.

Elizabeth possessed a strong work ethic and spent many years working as a domestic worker. She was later employed by Lane Packing House, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. Throughout her working years, she was known as a dedicated, dependable, and hardworking woman who took great pride in all that she did.

Elizabeth was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. Her faith, family, and the relationships she shared with others were important parts of her life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and treasured the many memories they created together.

Elizabeth was a loving and kind-hearted woman with a beautiful spirit, a warm smile, and a heart that welcomed others. She will be fondly remembered for her strength, caring nature, and the love she freely shared with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Fields and Eddie Lou Fields; her husbands, Jeff Grant and Jim Allen; her sisters, Mattie Bell Grant, Willie Mae Solomon, and Mabel Ellison; her son, Billy Grant; and her daughter, Mary Fields.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her precious memory her children, Willie Fields, Mattie Walker, Willie Mae Taylor, Louis Johnson, and Bobby Hightower; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Her legacy of love, kindness, faith, and strength will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
