Eloise Davis Lawson

Eloise Davis Lawson was born on July 2, 1945, in Byron, Peach County, Georgia, to the late Willie B. Davis Sr. and Gladys Taylor Davis.

She attended the Public Schools of Peach County and graduated from Hunt High School in Fort Valley, Georgia. Following high school, she received a diploma in Nursing Assisting and later utilized those skills to care for her family.

Eloise was known for her love of cooking, a passion she had pursued since the age of 8. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Byron, Georgia, until her health began to decline. She also loved music and kept her 8-tracks and albums inside her stereo, enjoying artists like T-Pain and Young Jeezy.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Willie B. Davis Jr., and her husband, John Henry Lawson, with whom she shared almost 40 years of marriage until his transition.

On November 17, 2025, Eloise departed from her earthly home while under hospice care at her sister's residence. Her caregiver, sister, and son were by her side during her transitioning period.
