Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathies the passing of Fannie Meadows. Our condolences to the family and friends.

Ms. Fannie L. Meadows was born December 18, 1949, to the late Thomas Meadows and the late Dorothy Rumph Meadows, in Fort Valley, Georgia.

Reared in the Gano Community by her late Aunt Edna Rumph, Fannie attended the Peach County Public Schools, graduating from Fort Valley High School in 1970.

Affectionately known as “Meadows”; “Auntie”; “Auntie Meadows, Fannie began her career in childcare as an educator at Peach Area Childcare Center, concluding her career as owner and operator of Meadows Loving Care.

Fannie, a fervent servant of God, accepted Christ at an early age,worshipping faithfully at Deliverance Outreach Church under the leadership of Bishop Calvin Ezell.

Fannie, exhibiting selfless, unconditional, and sacrificial love, left a lasting impression on all she encountered. Fannie will always be remembered for prioritizing the well-being of others without expecting anything in return.

On August 11, 2025, Fannie, a beautiful blossom was irrevocably claimed from God’s verdant garden.

Fannie has one sister and one brother who preceded her in death, Pamela Lucas and Robert Meadows. Fannie will forever live in the hearts and memories of two daughters, Anita Meadows and Micah Lucas; her devoted sister and best friend, Dinah King; one devoted brother Willie Jordan (Mary); two devoted nieces, Govoni King and Hannah King; three nephews, Henry Lucas; Damon (Michelle) Meadows; Michael Meadows; nieces, Earnestine Lucas; Terrie Lynn (Marvin) Donawa; great nieces, Lauren Johnson, Madison King, Morgan Lucas, Destinee Lucas, Danasia Lucas, L’Ryah Lucas, Lyla Meadows and Laila Donawa; one great nephew, Jaleel Lucas; one great great nephew, Michael Meadows Jr.; and one grandson, Messiah Daniel. Fannie also leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved pet, Sophie Meadows, Colistine Slaughter, Constance Griffith, Ernestine Taylor, Malisa Taylor, Mitz Williams and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her immensely.
