Flossie Mae Jackson Wells born Monday December 29,1941 in Fort Valley, Georgia to the late Mr. Samuel Jackson and Mrs. Lillie Mae (Milton) Jackson. Flossie attended H.A Hunt high School, in the Peach County school system. Flossie spent her high school days as a competitive basketball player.


Flossie then spent time in Miami before traveling back to Fort Valley, a place she called home. Flossie gave birth to her first born, Anthony B Wells on March 11, 1960, in Fort Valley. Flossie Mae, being the free spirit she was, made her way to New York where she gave birth to Vanessa Lyons, Wilhelmina Berry, and Craig Allen. She returned home to Georgia in 1983 living in Atlanta. Flossie settled down in 1994 in Ellenwood, Georgia raising her beloved grandchildren Kevin Wells and Tanasha Wells.


Flossie channeled her passion for cooking into a career. While working in the dietary field at Pilgrim Psychiatric Center she developed her craft and became an accomplished award-winning staff member. During this time Flossie mastered the art of cooking, and advanced to a position at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport for Eastern Airlines. Here Flossie delt with food and beverages while showing off her forklift skills.


Now switching careers, The Atlanta Journal Constitution afforded Flossie Mae with the work flexibility she needed to continue raising her beloved grandchildren at this time in Ellenwood.


Preceding her in death her granddaughter Keicha Wells-Gangemi, great grandson Devontray Dixon, great granddaughter Amelia Wells , sisters’ Loisteen Mann, Doris Robinson, Eva Harris, and four brothers James Jackson, Judge Varner, Milage Varner, and Samuel Jackson.


She leaves her loving four children Anthony Wells, Louise Wells, Vanessa Lyons, Wilhelmina Berry (Walter Berry), and Craig Allen. Her ten grandchildren Kevin Wells, Tanasha Wells (Brandis Wells), Ieisha Wells, Vanessa Lyons, Anthony Wells II (Lela Wells), Ebonie Reeves (DeAndre Reeves), William Morgan IV, Sonja Morgan, Joshua Lyons, and Alana Allen. Host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


The Wells family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation for the many kind thoughts and prayers. Thanks you for all the love and support. Wilhelmina Berry for her love and support.  Special acknowledgment to her family who was there for her around the clock, extending their home and love to keep her final months filled with love, laughter and joy: Tanasha Wells, Brandis Wells, Majur Wells, and Trevion Vuppula. May god love and keep you.
