Geneva L. Andrews

Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Geneva L. Andrews on March 24, 2024. Our sincere condolences to the family and friends.

On the somber date of March 24, 2023, love ones came together to grieve the profound and heartfelt loss of a beneficent beauty. Geneva L. Andrews, who peacefully departed this earthly realm at the venerable age of 67.

Geneva was a prolific and accomplished educator, as well as a beloved mother, wife and her lasting influence on both her family and the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her is truly immeasurable.

Geneva's legacy is woven of courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Geneva came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Even better, let's start from the beginning, Geneva L. Andrews was birthed to Mrs. Christine Lucas & Mr. Johnnie B. Lucas on a marvelous June 28th, 1956 in Peach County;

Fort Valley, GA.

Geneva's journey into the world of education was ignited by her graduation from Crawford County High in 1976. She then proceeded with an extraordinary journey by attending Fort Valley State College where obtained her Bachelors of Arts & Masters in Education. However, beyond her literary achievements, Geneva became a member of the profoundly elegant ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She began her extensive 30 year teaching career in Macon County School System. Then preceded a bit closer to home eventually retiring from Peach County Middle School leaving an indelible imprint on students hearts and minds.

As we bid adieu to Geneva, it is with both sorrow and celebration that we reflect on a life that was truly well-lived. The legacy she leaves behind is a loving matrimony to husband Rev. Lamb Andrews Ill on August 1st 1992 and she became his First Lady of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Lizella, GA on the 2nd Sunday in June of 1995. Her love, stories and cherished memories will forever resonate in the hearts of her three devoted children:

Mikesha G. Lucas, Cedric Andrews (Cornelius) & Lamb Andrews IV.; sister - Patricia D. Jackson (Ricky), brother- Michael Lucas (Nadine), Mitchell Lucas, Lawrence (Jeanette). two grandchildren, Cedric Jr, & Issac; Nieces & Nephews: Jermaine, Dion, Marlena, Kimberly, Anthaysha, Latreese, Jaron, Kearis, Madilynn, Morriah, Morgan, Malea, Patrick, Landon, Dylan, Rileyn, Conner, Cadence, Arvaliah, A'Keelah and to all family members & friends who share in the profound sadness of this loss.
