Geraldine Ellis Watkins

Geraldine Ellis Watkins was born to the parentage of Edward Ellis, Sr. and Rosie Mae Valentine Ellis on June 22, 1941, in Fort Valley, Georgia. She was a beloved daughter, sister, friend and mother who touched countless lives with her radiant smile.

Geraldine attended H.A. Hunt High School. At an early age in life, Geraldine professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined the First Seventh-day Adventist Church of Fort Vally, GA, where Geraldine was a dedicated member. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

Geraldine worked diligently and retired from the State of Florida, Department of Appeals. She later returned to Fort Valley, Georgia where she resided with her loving daughter. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, Geraldine was loved by many. Geraldine loved singing and listening to gospel music.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Geraldine quietly entered her eternal rest. She loved singing and listening to gospel music. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Edward Ellis Sr. and Mrs. Rosie Mae V. Ellis; sisters, Juanita, Sylvia, Lorene, and Eloise; and brothers, William Terry Ellis and Richard Ellis.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her surviving children: her sons, Bobby (Ann)Williams Jr, Warner Robins, GA, Jonathan T. (Calandra) Williams, Reynolds, GA and daughter and devoted caregiver, Kerry W. Love, Fort Valley, GA; one brother, Edward (Dottie) Ellis Jr., Yonkers, NY; three sisters: Mary E. Gray, Rosalyn E. Blackman (Clinton), and Catherine E. (Bobby) Brooks; twelve grandchildren: Mario (LaToya) Williams, Roger(Michele) Williams, Shayla Williams, Jarvis Williams, Noel Bailey, Robert M. (Sheena) Bailey Jr., Bre Turner, Marneisa Williams, Kadarrius Williams, Jonathan Williams (Jay), Tekevis Davis, and Jordan Williams; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
