Janet Lee Jackson

July 3, 1961 — April 2, 2026

Janet Lee Jackson

Janet Lee Jackson was born on July 3, 1961, in Houston County, Georgia, to the late Willie Lee and Bertha Jackson. She was a woman whose presence could light up any room, known for her kind heart, loving spirit, and the genuine joy she shared with everyone she encountered. Janet loved her family deeply and was always there for those she held close. Her strength, laughter, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Janet received her education through the Peach County School System. Following her graduation, she dedicated many years of service to Central State Hospital, where she worked faithfully until her health began to decline.
In her leisure time, Janet found great joy in interior decorating and cooking. She had a special gift for creating warm, welcoming spaces and bringing people together through her meals. Whether redesigning a room or preparing a home-cooked dish, she did everything with love and care, making lasting memories with family and friends.

Janet leaves to cherish her precious memory: her loving daughter, Latondra Tucker; her siblings: Dana Lindsey of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Louis Rogers (Maxine) of Butler, Georgia; one devoted aunt, Mamie Clark Myrie; other aunts and uncles along with a host of nieces, nephews and one great-niece; along with many other sorrowing family members and dear friends.
Though she is no longer with us, Janet’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
