Kecia Hilton Woods

Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathies the passing of Kecia Hilton Woods. Our sincere condolences to the family and friends.

Kecia Hilton-Woods was born January 23, 1966, in Far Rockaway, New York, to John and Bernice Hilton. She was educated at Far Rockaway High School, graduating in 1984, and went on to attend York College in Jamaica, NY, as well as Business School in Hempstead, NY.

In 2003, Kecia made the life-changing move to Perry, Georgia, accompanied by her beloved children, Kemesha Ann Keller and Keandra Ramona Keller. Kecia devoted herself professionally to the care of others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Houston County Health Care (Perry Hospital). She also brought her warm spirit to Publix Super Market, where she was employed for several years.

Kecia was a member of Bethel AME Church in Far Rockaway N.Y. After moving to Georgia, she became a member of St. Louis CME Church (Camp John Hope Rd, Fort Valley, GA) where she served on the Usher Board Ministry and on the Hospitality Committee Ministry. Kecia loved traveling and crafting.

Kecia was united in holy matrimony to Jimmy Lee Woods on December 12, 2012.

Kecia was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather Annie R. Thorpe and Andrew Thorpe.

Kecia’s legacy is cherished by her loving husband, Jimmy Woods; daughters: Kemesha Ann Keller (Kadijah Davis) Macon, GA and Keandra Ramona Keller, two grandchildren (that she cherished as her own): Dashawn and Khamiya Davis, nephews: John Hilton Jr, and Grayson Hilton; niece, Dorothy Dee Collins, siblings: John Hilton (Dawn) of Far Rockaway, N.Y., Anton Hilton of Far Rockaway, N.Y, Adrienne Hilton (Darrell) Perry GA., Sheila James (Paul) and Sharon Conner, Richmond, VA; aunts: Madace Thorpe, Philadelphia, PA, Annette Thorpe of Far Rockaway N.Y and Gracie Haynesworth of Sumpter SC; sisters-in-law: Tracy Adkins (Norman) and Kimberly Woods of Americus, GA; special cousins: Sabrina Thorpe, Fort Valley, GA, Greg Thorpe (Charlotte) of Detroit Michigan, Blanton Holsey (Bridgette), of Atlanta, GA, Equilla Holsey, of Fort Valley, GA, Yolanda Holsey of Fort Valley, GA, Shanta Rooks Holder, of Brooklyn N.Y. Shakirah Rooks, and Richard Thorpe Jr of Far Rockaway N.Y., and a special cousin like a sister, Kamala Thorpe Wilburn (Mickey), and a host of other relatives and friends.
