Priscilla Prater

"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither morning nor outcry nor pain be any more. The former things hav passed away". Revelations 21:4

On Tuesday May 21, 2024, Priscilla J. Prater peacefully drifted off in her sleep, surrounded by family at the age of 77 years. She was bor December 01, 1946, to the late Willie Frank Johnson and Susanna W. Johnson in Fort Valley, Georgia. Priscilla was known for her meals, fun, loving and caring spirit. She was one of 12 children: six brothers and five sisters. Her husband, George Prater, all siblings, and her grandson Donte' Smith preceded her in death. Priscilla attended Peach County public school in Peach County school system.

At an early age Priscilla accepted Christ where she first joined House of God Holiness Church and later joined Seventh Day Adventists where she served faithfully until her death. On September 07, 1970, Priscilla was joined into holy matrimony to George Prater. They were married 43 years. Priscilla was a homemaker and caregiver to her son, adopted nieces and nephews. Priscilla enjoyed helping people, going to church, hanging out with family and friends.

On Tuesday May 21, 2024, Priscilla entered her rest, at her residence. She is survived by her son and adopted children; Glenn (Tracy) Johnson of Warner Robins, GA; Michael (Rosel) Richardson of Pensacola, FL; Debra (Gerry) Hill of Fort Valley, GA; Teresa Richardson Robinson (Bruce) of Byron, GA; Sharon Strickland and Shelia (Stanley) McGuire of Warner Robins, GA; Grandson, Javarus (Ch'Keymmah) Johnson; a great nephew, Tecovian J. Richardson, who she helped raise as her own; a host of nieces and nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.
