Shandrea Yvette Adams

February 24, 1975 — November 21, 2022

Fort Valley

Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Ms. Shandrea Y. Adams.  Shandrea transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, November 21st.  Our condolences to her family and friends.

Shandrea is the first born daughter of Henrietta (Adams) Hartsfield and Rev. James Adams. She would be her birth father's only child. Shandrea was raised, loved and nurtured by her "Daddy" Earl Leon Hartsfield, the second husband of her mother.

Shandrea was a graduate of the Class of 1995 at Franklin High School in Franklin, North Carolina.

At an early age, Shandrea learned of Christ by attending Central Union Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Valley, Georgia. Later in life, she would accept Christ as her Lord and Savior at Central Union Baptist Church under the Christian Leadership of Dr. K Daniel Dawsey, Pastor /Teacher.

Shandrea was a hard worker. Most recently, she was employed by Purdue Farms in Perry, Ga until her health began to decline.

Shandrea is preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents, Roosevelt and Violet Adams; her "Daddy" Earl Leon Hartsfield and Maternal Grandfather Charles Lee Thomas.

On November 21, 2022 her Heavenly Father said, "It's time to come home, to see more than you could ever imagine or think of and receive your glorified body". Shandrea will be remembered by every person she ever came in contact with. We will never again see her smile, her fantastic makeup skills with a touch of glitter or her daily inspirational posts on Facebook. She'll be missed by THE WORLD! There will never be another non-judgmental and understanding Sha.

Shandrea leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted mother: Henrietta H. Hartsfield, her father: Rev. James (Laverne) Adams (Macon), one daughter: Jada K.S. Adams, one grandson: Prince V. Douglas, two grandmothers: Clara Thomas and Delores Howard (Miami, Florida), one brother: Earl R.C. Hartsfield; one sister: Detra Simmons; one nephew: Carlton L. Simmons, one sister-friend and God-children, Robin Thomas, Newman Haugabook and Elizabeth Cousart. Left to also cherish her loving spirit is a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Too many Friends to name, and her devoted friend: Jerry Causey.
