Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Sharlinda Samas Watkins on March 3, 2024. Our condolences to the Family and Friends.
Sharlinda Jaquay Samas (Watkins) was born on February 14, 1991 to the parentage of Linda Watkins and Mitchell Samas. She was born and raised in Perry, GA; then later moved to Fort Valley, GA. She accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. While a patient at Navicent in Macon where she rededicated her life to Christ.
Sharlinda or “Shy” as she was affectionately called was a very loving “Autie” figure to all children. A loving daughter, sister, cousin and friend. Those who came in contact with her were immediately impacted by her radiance and energy. Shy always opened her home to family and friends. Making memories with family and friends was a favorite pastime.
Sharlinda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary F. Watkins and her loving Nana, Connie Harris.
Sharlinda leaves to mourn her passing, but rejoice in peace: mother: Linda Watkins (Wilbur) Perry, GA; her “Pops” Jimmy Thomas, Perry, GA; brothers: Robert Brown, III (Arrielle), Summerville, SC; JaDarius Thomas, Perry, GA; sister: Nyuandria Simmons, Fort Valley, GA; aunts: Carolyn Thompson (Dirk), Hickory, NC; Laverne Michel (Michael), Brooklyn, NY; Rosa Williams (Finley) and Carla Woolfolk (Alex) both of Warner Robins, GA; Angela Smith (Lorenzo) Warner Robins, GA; Vita Samas, Americus, GA; very devoted uncles: Jimmy Washington (Denise) and Tracy Stripling (Angela) both of Perry, GA; paternal uncles: Hulo Samas (Veronica), Victor Samas; Michael Samas (Celes) all of Americus, GA; niece: Journey Prindle-Brown, Summerville, SC; nephews: Greyson Houston, Fort Valley, GA; Kingston Brown, Summerville, SC; very devoted friends: D’audra Dewberry, Jameshion Mecy Childs (Lionel); Somerial Haugabook (Jeremy), Sheena Butler, Malarius Walker, Shakevia Rumph, Jazzmine Felton, Kaderius Felder along with a host of other relatives and many friends.
