Thomas L. Howard

Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Thomas Howard.  Mr. Howard entered into eternal rest on December 31, 2024.  Our sincere condolences to the family and friends. 

Thomas L. Howard was born to Raymond A. Howard, Sr. and Ethel Mae Jefferson on September 26, 1949. He was born and grew up in Bronx, New York where he attended public schools. 

"Snookie" as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, moved to Fort Valley in 1968 to attend FVSC (what is now known as FVSU) and later attended Clark Atlanta University.  Upon leaving Clark Atlanta University, he went back to New York where he started working in Health Care.  After retiring from health care in New York, he came back to Fort Valley where he worked at the Pettigrew Center at FVSU where he retired after 25 years. 

On December 31, 2024 God called him from labor to rest.  His legacy of love and memories will be cherished by his brothers and a sister: Raymond Howard, Jr. (Roberta) of Fort Valley, GA, Patricia Givens (Sinclair) of Covington, GA, and Leroy Howard (Wanda) of Warner Robins, GA.  Three nephews: Sinclair Givens, Jr.,  Marcus Givens, and Donterius Howard.  Other relatives and friends.
