Vincent Sanchez Henry

Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Vincent Sanchez Henry on December 17, 2024.  Our sincere condolences to the family and friends. 

Vincent Sanchez Henry, Sr. was born on June 13, 1987 to the late Francina Henry-Montfort and Jerry Oglesby in Fort Valley, Georgia. 

Vincent accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of The Deliverance Outreach Ministries Church. As a child he formed a love for music and rap. Vincent had a dream to become a gospel rapper one day. He graduated from Peach County High School in 2006, soon after he attended Fort Valley State University. Vincent was a very hardworking man that loved God. He developed a career as an Assistant Store Manager of Chili’s of Warner Robins and Columbus, Georgia. In 2023 Vincent met the love of his life, his companion, Vija. 

Vincent, Sr. better known as Vince or Sanchez went home to Jesus on December 17, 2024 at age 37. He was preceded in death by his mother, Francina Henry-Montfort, his brother, Jaquavious Montfort, and his grandparents, Maebell and Floyd Henry. 

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Vija Henry of Fort Valley, Georgia; father, Jerry Oglesby; daughter, Nyasia Johnson; sons: Vincent, Jr. and Zayden Henry, and Zyquavious Lewis (nephew raised as son); siblings: Levetta (Shavoris) Andrews, Jaleese (Larry) Harris and Lisa Boyer; grandkids: Kei’myla, Kamarian and J’laiya Johnson; a special aunt, Valerie Henry; nieces: Shykemmia Lewis, Brooklyn Andrews, nephews: Cathyan Oglesby, Naveen Vann, Amir Boyer and a host of other relatives and friends.
