Willie Mae Starling McGhee

Willie Mae Starling McGhee was born to the late Willie Starling and Elnora Starling in Fort Valley, Georgia, on June 30, 1945. She peacefully passed on September 30, 2025.

Willie Mae attended the Peach County Public Schools. She married her beloved husband, John Willie McGhee. She was a member of Central Union Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Valley, GA.

Willie Mae leaves behind many precious memories to be cherished by her devoted grandson, Benjamin Starling; her nieces: Inez Taylor (Johnny), Barbara Robinson, Sheryl Warren, Levia Starling, Deothe Stourd, Stephaine Jones, AlFeria Jones, Gkhiya Reliford; her nephews, Melvin Starling Lewis (Felecia), Anthony Starling (Tamara), Gregory Starling (Tawanna), and Ira H. Starling Jr.. She also leaves behind a host of family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Willie McGhee; her two daughters, Deborah Ann McGhee and Willie Mae McGhee; and her siblings, Brother Walter Starling, Brother Ira H. Starling Sr., Brother Ben Starling, Sister Ruby Turner, Sister Elnora Starling, and Neice Lorraine Starling.

The family also wishes to acknowledge her special friends, Myrtis Cliett and Shawnita Matthews.
