Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest condolences the passing of Mr. Willie Thomas, Jr. 

Willie Lee Thomas, Jr. was born on June 16, 1955, in Perry, Georgia. He was the son of Rosa Lee Stokeling and the late Willie Lee Thomas, Sr. Willie was educated in the public schools of Houston County, Georgia.

Willie was an outgoing individual who easily made friends with people. His favorite sport was basketball; therefore, he always had a huge circle of brothers around him nudging him to defend the strengths and weaknesses of his team's players. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. When Willie rode his motorcycle on a warm sunny day, it was pure pleasure to ride and enjoy the beauty of nature. It was a brief way for him to escape life's challenges.

He chose to become a DL truck driver as his career. He drove semi-trucks for well over twenty years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

On Sunday, May 1, 2022, Willie's earthly journey was completed; he entered eternal rest.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Iona Thomas, mother: Rosa Lee Stokeling; sisters: Wonolene (John) Jones, Isabelle (Joe) Fountain, Annette (Fredrick) Whitaker, Martha Rumph, Earlene (Lewis) Bagley, Lisa Harvey, Coranne I. (Mark) Polk, Shirley (Charlie) Rogers, Shelia Thomas; aunts: Susie Hickey and Dale Sparks; brothers: Lugene (Sandra) Thomas, Kelly Thomas; one uncle: Sammie (Diane) Allen; sisters-in-law: Christine Goodman, Sandra Goodman, and Gail Jones; brothers-in-law: Pernell Thomas and Daryl Thomas; a great uncle: Jimmy Lee Rumph along with a host of other relatives and friends.
